After last weekends enforced snow break, the Diamonds produced one of their best performances of the season to beat a determined & well organised Trojans team.
The first half saw Andover initially struggle to match their opponents who came quickly out of the blocks & they were frustrated for the opening 17minutes when they finally broke the deadlock. A wonderful team attack found Glyn Hacker at the top of the circle who clinically smashed a lifted shot past a diving keeper.
Before the interval, Andover raised their quality going forward & they were rewarded with a further two goals, Mark Josling scored his first of two and Mike Boyne scored his first of a splendid hat-trick.
The Diamonds started the second period slowly & they were stunned into action when Trojans pulled a goal back. The goal spurred Andover forward again & they were free scoring until the final whistle. Josling got the teams fourth then Boyne completed his hat-trick and there was also a goal for John Priestley-Cooper. Finally with virtually the last hit of the game RIchard Hoo nudged in Andover’s eighth.
